How to Earn the Grade You Want

It's the end of the quarter and you have work that needs to be turned in, and it could mean the difference between passing or failing.

 

How do you know if the assignment will make a difference in your grade? Check in the Course Guide on Pg. 7.

 

 

 

 

The description of grades are laid out in terms of points in the Course Guide.

 



The Announcements section always has a description of the late policy in your class environment. It is also in the Course Guide.

 

Check for how many modules late you are and do the simple math:

10% penalty = .90 x 20pts = 90% of the 20points or 10% reduction in points

25% Penalty = .75 x 20pts = 75% or 25% reduction in points

for example...
 

By doing the points that you have a Zero in you will then add the points (minus their late penalty) and you will be able to see where your grade CAN BE if you did the work.

This example from above has 5 zero's and is currently getting a C in the class. Doing all those assignments the student can get an A and that counts the late points deducted.
