If you check the Course Guide on page 6, you’ll see how the points are tallied for the thread assignments you complete. If your main post is completed by the first Wednesday before 10:00 P.M., is substantive, and thoroughly addresses the questions asked in the assignment instructions, you can get up to 10 points for it.
Most thread assignments are worth 20-25 points! (see your grade book for the class to verify.)
Reply posts can be worth up to 3 points each. These too must be substantive, on topic, and carry the conversation forward.
So, if the main post is worth 10 and the replies are worth 3 points each, you would need to make 5 replies during the course of the Module to get full points.
10+3+3+3+3+3= 25
Remember, you can add additional reply posts to make up for any weak or late posts not getting the optimal points. If your main post was turned in after the Wednesday deadline yet is still a good substantive post as described above, you would get 7 points for it. You would then need 6 reply posts to make the 25 points and get an "A" in that thread.
